Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
Sandwiched between two pieces of sourdough bread, my Grown-Up Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich is filled with cream cheese, and chunky peanut butter, grilled to perfection then drizzled with warm sriracha-grape jelly... totally out of this world delicious!
Grown-Up Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
Sandwiched between two pieces of sourdough bread, my Grown-Up Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich is filled with cream cheese, chunky peanut butter, and grilled to perfection then drizzled with warm sriracha-grape jelly... totally out of this world delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ¼ cup soft spread cream cheese room temperature
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- ¼ cup chunky peanut butter room temperature
Grape Jelly Sriracha Sauce
- ¼ cup grape jelly
- 1 tablespoon sriracha or other hot chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- In a small bowl combine softened cream cheese and sugar, and blend to combine
- Spread an even lay of cream cheese mixture over one slice of bread and chunky peanut butter over another slice of bread
- Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and melt. Make sure the butter is evenly distributed over the bottom of the pan. Put the sandwich slices together and grill each side in the hot pan until toasty brown. about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- In a small saucepan, bring the grape jelly and sriracha to a soft boil stirring constantly.
- Cut the sandwich in half and place on a pretty plate. Drizzle the hot grape jelly over the sandwich and enjoy with fresh berries and a hot cup of coffee or tea!
